Worst search query ever: "groundhog day and judaism"

I'm generally disinclined to be judgmental of search queries that come into my websites. You can learn some cool stuff about your site, the world and your visitors by way of checking what they were searching for when they found your website.

But this one was just downright confounding... 'groundhog day and judaism'!

Really?

This comes from the queries for More.PunxsyPage.com. In case you're not familiar with where I exist on this planet, my corner of the world is Punxsutawney, Pennsylvania. That of course means that the local website I operate, PunxsyPage, sees a huge spikes in queries about Groundhog Day, as people search for information about the world-famous Punxsutawney Phil.

Most of the queries are pretty straight forward. 'Groundhog Day 2008'... no surprises there ... 'groundhogs day'... typical ... 'when is groundhog day' ... OK.

But, Groundhog Day and Judaism?

Can this person please come forth and explain this to me? I'm desperate. This reminds me of the Lewis Black joke about hearing the girl who said, 'If it weren't for my horse, I wouldn't have spent that year in college.' When he tried to find who said it, she was gone!

What does Groundhog Day have to do with Judaism? I mean, I know thanks to Candlemas and the Purification of the Virgin and the anointment of Jesus in the Jewish rites after 40 days that the holiday might have a Christian hook, however weak. But, there isn't a Jewish hook at all, unless you're in the 'Jesus was a Jew' camp.

I can sort of see tie between the movie Groundhog Day and the modern state of Israel. You know, the same thing just keeps happening. Who can forget Yitzhak Rabin driving over a cliff with a groundhog in his lap?

Can someone save me? What the does groundhog day have to do with the Hebrews?
